U15s Beat Mulbarton in South Norfolk League

GREAT MELTON U15s beat MULBARTON U15s by 20 runs at Melton Park in the South Norfolk Community League

On a perfect day for cricket, Great Melton U15’s produced a solid performance to win against a strong Mulbarton side.

After being put into bat, Melton started positively with good batting from Alex Rennie (11) and Rob Smith (22). Brothers Ben Carding (37) and Sam Carding (22) then continued the good work to help Melton to a competitive total of 133-7.

Melton’s bowling attack bowled tight spells throughout but Alex Rennie (3-1-7-2) and Rob Smith (3-0-10-0) were the outstanding performers as Mulbarton, despite only losing 3 wickets, were restricted to 113 – 20 runs short of Melton’s total.
