Right-hand batsman; Right arm off-spin bowler
An off-spin bowler and useful batsman, whose opportunities to bat have been limited in senior cricket, Tom first played for Great Melton U11s in 2011 taking 13 wickets with his off-spin bowling to help them win the South Norfolk Community League. His dad, Martyn, took on the management of the U11s in 2012 and a further SNCL medal followed. Tom also spent two years in the Norfolk County squad before moving up to the U13s where 2 more SNCL championships were secured in 2013 and 2014 as well as appearances in the ECB and Alan Bridgewater finals and at Lords during the lunch interval of the 2013 Ashes test. He skippered the U15s in 2015 but made his senior debut in 2014 in the Sunday A Team and made rapid progress after that. With just a few games in the Cs or Bs under his belt, he spent most of 2015 in the A Team and, in 2016, played 10 times for the 1st Team. Recently when his school and part-time work commitments have allowed he has played occasionally for the Firsts but mainly in the As where he recorded his best figures of 6-26 against Lowestoft in 2017. He is now studying at the University of Birmingham.
