Teas, subs and match fees.

The First team for the opening game against North Runcton ‘A' on Saturday is posted on the shoutbox.

As some of you will know juggling availability and selecting sides is a difficult job for all Captains and each of us have enough to do without the additional worry of trying to get someone to do teas for home games.  Some of the players that regularly represent the First team have a wide range of excuses and the net result is that I end up not only chasing and deliberating on who will be in the side, but then also having to “persuade” someone to do teas as well.  There are only 9 home games a season and so in theory it shouldn't be difficult to share the responsibility of tea.  Below are the home fixtures for the First team and given that I am doing teas on 28th May, there are now only 8 games left to cover.  I would like some volunteers for each game please because if not I am going to retrospectively impose a rota regardless of player availability and then it will become your responsibility to swap with someone else if you are not playing for any reason.

The fixtures are:

30th April – North Runcton ‘A'

14th May – Great Witchingham ‘A'

28th May – Swaffham (Mark Scott teas)

4th June – Kirkley & Lowestoft Railway

18th June –  Swardeston ‘A'

9th July – Acle ‘A'

23rd July – Dersingham

13th August – Ashmanhaugh

27th August – Sprowston ‘A'

Please contact me with you preferred date.  Also would all First team players who have not yet paid their subs for this season please bring sufficient money (or your cheque book) to the game on Saturday; you also need to remember that the match fee is £5 (£2.50 for students or juniors) and in the case of Matt Clarke and Richard Wood, you both have some arrears to pay from last weekend.
