Steven Cadge

Right-hand batsman; Right-arm medium pace bowler

Cadgie began his junior career at Great Melton in 2001.  A year later his dad Mark, became a member of the fledgling Junior Committee and young Steven was the U13s Player-of-the-Year.   He continued to play for the U13s and and U15s until 2004 when, having got into the Norfolk squad, he moved to Vauxhall Mallards.  He then progressed to playing regular EAPL and Alliance Premier Division cricket, initially with Mallards then with Swardeston and Old Buckenham and with such a good cricketing pedigree it was good to see him finally return to Great Melton, after 15 years away, in 2018.  His work and family  commitments have severely restricted his availability, however, and he has only managed 5 games in the last 3 seasons.  Still a very talented cricketer with bat and ball, Cadgie would add much to the First Team if he was able to play more regularly.
