Smith & Rennie Lead the Way as U13s Beat Thetford

GREAT MELTON U13s beat THETFORD U13s by 90 runs at Shadwell in the South Norfolk Community League

Impressive batting by Rob Smith and Alex Rennie and a good all-round fielding performance saw Melton U13s to a 90-run win over Thetford in the South Norfolk Community League. Melton were put in to bat by the home side and in the first over lost Ben Carding who ran himself out but Rennie (40) and Smith (47) batted for the remaining fifteen overs finding the boundary regularly as Melton finished their innings on 114-1. Melton then bowled and fielded well with all 7 wickets being clean bowled. Matt Rennie finished with figures of 3-1-2-3, Ryan Howard 2-1-0-2 and Ben Carding 2-1-0-1, as the home team were dismissed for 24.
