HeadlinesSilence is not golden

Silence is not golden

As you will be aware the 2011 season is nearly upon us – the A side start their Alliance fixtures this Saturday and there is a MNSCL game on Sunday too.  The First x1 start at home to North Runcton ‘a' on 30th April and the NCL fixtures for the B & C teams get underway that weekend too.

In this technological age many of the Captains try to sort their sides and establish availability generally by text or email, and usually by mobile phone.   To some degree mobile communication appears to demand an instant response, which I appreciate of course is not always practical, but conversely it does make a Captain's job an easier one if texts or emails about availability can be answered in a timely fashion.  I know that Marcus for example is waiting on some replies for the MNSCL game this Sunday, so if you are asked to play in this or any other game during the summer a clear and quick reply goes a long way towards getting teams announced early, thus ensuring that people who have committed to playing know what team they are in and where they have to be.

Thank you to those who answered my email recently about availability for the first few weeks of the season.
