
Matt Henderson
Right-hand batsman; Right-arm seam bowler

Originally from Taunton, Somerset, Matt moved to Norfolk to gain an MSc in Energy Engineering & Environmental Management at the UEA and he played British Universities cricket as well as club cricket for Reepham & Salle before joining Melton in 2016. In his debut season he impressed as a lively seam bowler and solid middle-order batsman, taking 23 wickets at 16.96 – topping the bowling averages – and scoring 160 runs. Although his best cricketing performances so far – 6-23 and 87 not out – came during his days in Somerset ‘Hendo’ has been a regular and very consistent performer for Great Melton A Team, winning the Player of the Year trophy in 2019 with 316 runs and 18 wickets.
