Martin Alcock

Under 13s Manager; Junior Cricket Sub-Committee Member; Right-hand batsman; Right-arm slow bowler

Martin’s talented multi-sporting sons, James and George, have been playing their cricket at Great Melton since 2016 and Martin took over the management of the U11s in 2018, having previously helped out with the U9s.  Martin played his own cricket at Old Catton before deciding to make the move to Melton part-way through the 2019 season when he quickly became a regular in the C Team.  Already heavily involved in coaching at Crusaders Rugby Club and, with both sons in Norfolk squads, Martin is a busy man all year round but loves his sport and is hugely enthusiastic about it. Part of the small team that delivered remote and actual coaching during the difficult Covid-restricted summer of 2020, Martin also managed the U13s and will continue in that role in 2021. He has also registered on the ECB Level 1 Foundation Coaching Course in Spring 2021.
