From Lord’s to Melton Park

Festival Weekend Poster

Members of Reed Cricket Club’s 2012 National Village Cup winning squad will be gracing the green pastures of Melton Park as part of the August Bank Holiday Weekend festivities.

Reed CC, from near Royston in Hertfordshire, who once again reached the Quarter Final stages of this season’s competition, are visiting Norfolk for a 3 day tour. They will be playing a Great Melton select X1 on Sunday 24th, captained by our Peter Pan of Cricket Mally Howard, and will also feature in the 6-a-side Jamboree on Monday 25th, before heading off to play Garboldisham CC on Tuesday 26th.

Melton’s 1st X1 will be looking to secure their Division One status on Saturday 23rd, with basement side Bradfield the visitors and, with the u11 Boys playing a South Norfolk League match against Mundford also on Sunday, there will be plenty of action for spectators on each day.
