Four Wickets in Four Balls & Fifty Runs for Fergus!

GREAT MELTON U13s beat ROCKLANDS U13s by 108 runs at Melton Park in the South Norfolk Community League

With skipper Tom Moye playing for the U15s at Mulbarton and several other players unavailable, Great Melton U13s still had too much strength in depth for a game Rocklands side.  The Hughes brothers, Fergus and Finlay, led the way as Melton scored a very impressive 174-2 in their 16 overs. Fergus retired with 53, Finlay scored 42 , Kyle Weston hit 28 and Lewis Thurston 20.

Rocklands, asked to score at 10 an over against Melton's accurate and varied attack,  were never going to challenge such a huge total but Fergus Hughes made it mission impossible by taking 4 wickets in 4 balls to finish with 4-2 from his solitary over.  Weston took 2-5 as Rocklands were bowled out for 66, giving Melton victory by the large margin of 108 runs.

Team: Max Beckett, Fergus. Hughes, Finlay Hughes, Luke Richards, Lewis Thurston, Kyle Weston, Kai Wilkinson-Loines, Craig Wilson.
