Fifties for Greenslade and Woolrich in U15s Run Spree

GREAT MELTON U15s beat ROCKLANDS U15s by 62 runs at Melton Park in the Andy Seeley Trophy

Chris Greenslade, with 78 in 10 overs and Craig Woolrich with a well-made 51, made the Rocklands bowlers suffer in the evening sunshine as Melton U15s set a daunting target of 181 in 20 overs in the Andy Seeley Cup. Greenslade and Woolrich added 99 for the second wicket after Michael Farmer was dismissed for 1, with Greenslade in particular smashing the ball to all parts of Melton Park. When he departed, bowled by Page-Brown, Woolrich and Joe Greenslade (23 not out) in the main added a further 60 runs to virtually put the game out of Rocklands' reach. To their credit the visitors produced a spirited and skilful response with Matt Miners (34) and Matt Thresh (50) playing some fine shots. Rocklands eventually reached 119-3 with Alex Tonnison and Marcus Annergarn getting the wickets of the 2 main run-scorers. Melton's fielding was generally much improved and Zef Ishtiaq had an impressive debut with the ball, bowling 4 overs for 10 runs.
