Ella Dye

Right-hand bat; Right-arm seam bowler

Ella’s hockey and school commitments have restricted her cricket availability a little but it is clear her all-round talents show her to be more than capable of making the step up to senior (mixed) cricket.  She joined Great Melton at the beginning of last season, having previously been at Old Buckenham.  A member of the current County U17 squad, Ella had few opportunities to show what she could do in Ladies’ cricket because of the limited number of fixtures in 2019 but she did appear for Melton U15s and, once, for the C Team where her ability with bat and ball was immediately apparent.  Ella finally made her debut for the Ladies in 2020 scoring an impressive 32. Her parents and sister, Abby, have also involved themselves fully in the club and dad Simon, a qualified hockey coach, has taken the first steps to qualification as an ECB Level 2 cricket coach.
