Diss Bowled out for 4 as U13s Win by 152 runs

It was a relief for the U13s to finally get a game after so many cancellations and the players carried on where they left off a few weeks ago with a convincing win against a developing Diss team in the Alan Bridgewater competition.

Melton scored 156 from their 16 overs for the loss of no wickets. Corey Rushton (35*), Sam Davey (30*), James Cooper (32*), Ben Gaskin (35*), plus a late cameo from Will Bailey (1*), all batted sensibly and effectively on a damp wicket.

Not to be outdone our bowlers were equally as effective with 3 wickets for George Ryan and 2 wickets a piece for Sabina Baker and Sam McKay as Diss were bowled out in the 6th over for just 4 runs.

Despite the score line the game was played with a great spirit from both sides on a rare dry evening in Eye. Thank you to Chris McKay and Kai for looking after the team tonight.
