Daniel Hayward

Left-hand bat; Right-arm seam bowler.

Having completed his Human Biology degree at Loughborough University, Daniel is now working in London so, in common with many others who have followed a career path to the capital, he now only returns for the occasional game or to join us on tour.   ‘Dobbie' joined the club in 2008 when he was frequently seen at Melton Park practising in the nets with his older brother Ryan and Jake Mardell.  In 2009 ‘little Hayward’ was a member of the successful U15 side that won the South Norfolk Community League and, in the same year, he also managed to get a few games for the C Team and impressed, especially with his fielding and his ability to bowl straight.  He became a regular in the Cs and completed his 100th appearance for Melton before he left for Loughborough.
