Great Melton U15s beat Garboldisham U15s by 7 Wickets at Garboldisham on Tuesday 19th August in the SNCL

After losing the toss we were asked to bowl on a slightly damp wicket from all the rain the day before. Craig Wilson opened the bowling and after bowling a few full tosses he finally found the right length and was rewarded with the first wicket, bowling J.Baker (4). Finlay Hughes bowled from the other end with some tight bowling, but wasn’t rewarded with a wicket but G.Southgate (3) was run out by Fergus Hughes in the same over with the score only on 9. Third over Craig got another wicket when the other opener T.Culling (3) was caught by Fergus. Finlay bowled another over and only went for 1, but still couldn’t get that wicket. Fifth over Thomas Moye came into bowl and got a wicket with his first ball when F.Marshall (1) was caught by Craig Wilson. End of the 5th over the score was now on 16 -4 and there was another bowling change at the other end when Kyle Weston came on to bowl. He also got a wicket in his first over getting the wicket off O.Rushen (0) who was caught by Matt Ling. Thomas then got another wicket with the first ball of his second over when A.Johnson (7) was caught by Pat Walton. The score was now 29-6 and the innings was all rapped up in Kyle’s second over when he also got his second wicket when A.Culling (0) was caught by Fergus.
