Connor Stearman
Sunday 1st Team Captain; Right-hand batsman; Right arm seam bowler

Connor, the son of Paul, first played for the U11s in 2009 but he had his best junior season for the U13s in 2011 when he won both the Players’ and Coaches’ Player-of-the-Year trophies and also won the Player of the Tournament Trophy at the Junior Festival. In the next 4 years he played for the U15s, U17s, C, B and Sunday teams but in, 2015 and 2016, he found himself mainly in the struggling A Team as a batsman. However, when player shortages resulted in a First Team call, Connor took his chance well and in 2019 established himself as a First Team top-order batsman. He’s a good fielder with safe hands and can bowl a bit too, although recently his opportunities to have the occasional over have largely been restricted to friendlies and tour games. Connor’s blunt, say-it-how-it-is persona and his fondness for a beer make him good value as a tourist and he certainly paid his fair share of fines on the club excursions to Leeds and Sheffield! He also, jointly with James Robb, captained our Mid-Norfolk Sunday League side in 2018 and is doing the job again, this time with Joey Greenslade, in 2021.
