Chairman’s Choice: 1985 Norfolk League K.O.Cup Victory

Today's Chairman's Choice goes back 35 years to 1985 when the club was based at Browick Road Rec in Wymondham and known as Great Melton & Wymondham C.C. The match is the final of the NCL K.O. Cup played at Brooke when we beat Great Witchingham who went on to become Division 1 Champions. We also won NCL Division 4 that year. The pictures show man-of-the-match, Alan Ely, batting; Alan (with me and Steve Carr) holding the cup; the winning team; plus one of our very young-looking groundsman and welfare officer as we celebrated one of the club's best-ever seasons at the 1985 Presentation Dinner.
