Cassie Mawby

Women’s Captain; Women & Girls Sub-Committee Member; Right-hand bat; Right-arm seam bowler

Having followed her older brother, Marcus, down to Melton Park, a 9-year-old, Cassie first represented Great Melton at the Lady Taverners U13 Girls Tournament at Garboldisham in 2012.  She was then one of the leading players when the first U13 Girls’ team was formed to compete in the South Norfolk Community League in 2014.  Since then Cassie has appeared regularly for the Ladies, the 13s, the U15s and the U19s.  Her other sport, swimming, often prevents her from playing on Saturdays but, she has also made a few senior appearances for the C Team.  A very useful seam bowler and a quick and agile fielder, she has also shown herself to be very effective with the bat.   A member of the County squad for the past few seasons, Cassie will captain our Ladies in 2020. She was voted Women & Girls’ Player-of-the-Year in 2019.
