GREAT MELTON U11s beat GARBOLDISHAM U11s by 160 runs at Melton Park in the Terry Moore Trophy

Gt Melton u11s entertained a spirited Garboldisham team last Thursday evening. Melton produced a strong performance with both bat and ball. Choosing to bat Melton made a good total of 360/2 (348 net) with James Alcock topping the batting with 36 not out and Daniel Graves and Blade Earley both scoring 21*.

In reply Garboldisham showed great bravery as Melton's more experienced attack focused in on taking wickets. Oliver Wormstone and Jake Canning bowled well as did Isaac Ford taking a nice wicket on debut. George Alcock had a stunning game behind the stumps including a great catch off the bowling of Melton captain Sam McKay (1-5).   Other wickets went to Daniel (2-1) James (2-2) and Blade (2-0), the latter getting two wicket maidens.
