GREAT MELTON U11s beat THETFORD U11s by 138 runs at Melton Park in the Terry Moore Trophy
The Under 11s have made a superb start to the season and, on Sunday, they continued their winning way with a 138-run demolition of Thetford who lost 10 wickets in scoring 231, a net score of 181. All the Melton bowlers did very well but Fergus Hughes (3-2-1-3) again led the way with 3 wickets for one run. Josh Moore took 2-6, Patrick Walton 2-2, Aimee Palmer 1-4 and Craig Wilson 1-1. Logan Stearman took a catch and 2 stumpings then hit 11 not out in a partnership of 42 with Aimee Palmer who made her highest score of 21 not out. Hughes continued his good form with the bat with 23 not out to take his average to over a hundred. Melton only lost one wicket in scoring 324 to give them victory by 132 runs.
