GREAT MELTON U13s beat CRINGLEFORD LODGE U13s by 86 runs at Melton Park in the South Norfolk Community League.
The Under 13s continued their unbeaten South Norfolk Community League campaign with a comprehensive victory over Cringleford at Melton Park. With Finlay Hughes (41 retired), Pat Walton (35) and Jack Gorman (25 retired) all making substantial unbeaten scores and Marcello Merdyk chipping in with his first runs for the club (3 not out), Melton totalled 135 without losing a wicket.
Olly Black (3-1-4-2) then took the plaudits as Cringleford were restricted to 49-5 in reply, clean bowling Verney and Cutter and running out Eric Potter with a direct hit from square leg. Moerdyk and Olly Leinster took the other wickets.
