Right-hand batsman; Left-arm bowler: Wicketkeeper

Joey, a talented batsman, is now living and studying in London but still makes the occasional appearance and has become something of a ‘tour’ regular.  An established 1st Team cricketer, Joey’s ‘chirpy chappie’ personality, his experiences in the County junior squads and his preparedness to take responsibility at Melton have given him plenty of self-confidence. He captained at all age groups from U11s to U19s’ leading them to 4 County Finals and 4 SNCL Championships.  In 2013 he made his debut for the C Team but made rapid progress after that, winning the First Team Player-of-the-Year Shield in 2015.  Having kept wicket during his junior years, he’s now quite a decent and pacy ‘occasional’ bowler.   Joey has also done his bit off the pitch, helping out at junior coaching, assisting in the Girls/Ladies section where his sisters, Rebecca and Alice are often in action, and taking on the organisation of the U19s in 2017-2018.
