The Melton innings started shakily when Vivek Sharma was out caught for 1 in the third over then his fellow opening batman Ed Allen (4no) had to retire hurt through injury but this brought Chris Greenslade (64no) and George King together and they took the score to 78 before King was out for 21. George Bunn then joined Greenslade who was in splendid form and hit a glorious 6 to get his half-century. Bunn contributed 10 runs before being bowled and Nick Gristwood then joined Greenslade as they made the winning runs. Lowestoft bowlers Harvey Hebditch, Hayden Rogers and Lois Cook took 1 wicket each.
