With consistently high attendance (over 100) at all of the Friday evening coaching sessions so far and new members registering on a weekly basis, it has created a bit off a problem with group sizes, particularly in the U11s and U9s groups.  There are now 52 registered youngsters in the U11s group and 42 in the U9s.  Reluctantly, therefore, we have decided we cannot admit any more junior members in the U10/U11 (school years 5 & 6) and U7 (Year 2) age groups.  We will monitor the numbers in the U8/U9s (Years 3 & 4), U12/U13 (Years 7 & 8) and Girls’ groups and make a decision if the groups go beyond a manageable number.  Whilst we are reluctant to turn away any youngsters we are governed by pupil/coach ratios and health and safety concerns.  We are also very aware that large numbers can have an effect on the quality of the coaching and on our ability to offer youngsters match experience.

If you know of any youngsters in the U7, U10 or U11 age group who may be thinking of joining, please advise their parents of this.  Names of prospective junior members can be added to a membership waiting list and parents will be informed as soon as numbers drop and/or vacancies arise.

Our apologies to any disappointed young cricketer and parents.
