Having postponed our planned Nat-West Cricketforce Event, originally scheduled for 24th March, it is now full steam ahead for Saturday 7th April.  We would like to see as many members – senior, junior, parents – down at the ground to tackle all the usual pre-season jobs.  The new fence needs painting; there is some minor re-decoration needed in the pavilion; groundwork is required on the area where the old nets used to stand; the scoreboard, sight screens, covers and junior artificial wicket need to be prepared and there are other tasks to perform before the season officially starts the following Saturday – 14th April.

Unfortunately Norwich City are at home and it’s an early (12.30 p.m.) kick-off so, for Canary fans, the earlier we start the better!  Volunteer Coordinator Chris Brook will be at the ground from 9.00 a.m. onwards to direct operations and, as usual, there will be free tee-shirts, tea, coffee and bacon butties.

The more help we get the sooner we can get everything done.  Last year’s attendance was excellent and everything was completed by lunch-time.  Please make every effort to join us and lend a hand – even an hour of your time will help.  And this year there’s no weeding, scraping and tidying needed to prepare worn-out nets for yet another season…as we’ve got some new ones!

To whet your appetites, here are a few pics of last year’s Cricketforce:
