Right-hand batsman; Right-arm medium-fast seam bowler

Connor played most of his junior cricket at Vauxhall Mallards before following James Robb to Melton in 2014. He has proven to be an excellent acquisition. He is a brisk swing bowler and a big-hitting batsman who just needs to find a bit of circumspection to go with his aggression. The chances are, though, that he will always play calypso cricket and is capable of very fast scoring when he is going well. He is also a good fielder with an excellent ‘arm’. A student at Norwich School, Connor’s studies and school sporting commitments have restricted his appearances but, in his three seasons at Melton he’s still played 41 times – 25 times last season for the 1st, A, Sunday, Midweek & U19 teams. He’s scored 519 runs and taken 33 wickets with a best of 4-27. His highest score for the club to date is 46 but that first fifty can’t be too far away. Connor is another of the club’s young volunteers, helping with junior coaching on Fridays whenever he is able. He has achieve 47 voluntary hours in the ECB’s VAwards scheme.
