2012_Wright ChrisRight-hand batsman; Right-arm medium pace bowler.

Chris joined Great Melton at the beginning of the 2012 season, having previously played for Ashmanhaugh.  Unfortunately, until last season, his Melton career has been marred by injuries. He was restricted to just 5 appearances in his debut season although he did manage to play for the First, A and B Teams and bag 5-20 in one of his two appearances for the Bs.  in 2013 he managed 9 appearances, taking 10 wickets, didn’t play at all in 2014 and injury again restricted him to just 7 games in 2015.  However, last season, with son Josh emerging from the junior set-up to establish himself in senior cricket, Chris enjoyed appearing alongside him in the C Team.  And having played down his batting for years, he surprised us all by topping the averages and making his highest score – 79 not out!  A former student at Kirkley High School and Norwich City College, Chris is Commercial Director at TRO Group. A married father of four who lives in Norwich, he had, at the start of 2017,  made 28 appearances for Melton and taken 29 wickets.
