Great Melton Ladies made it two out of two in the Women’s Indoor League with victory over Fakenham at Swaffham on Sunday.  Unfortunately no actual scores are available but good batting especially by Aimee Palmer, Laura Edge and Bethany Harmer, who hit the ball hard and found the walls regularly, allowed Melton to pose a challenging total.  The girls then fielded well using every body part possible to stop the ball hitting the walls.  Robyn Edge took a great catch at point and Fakenham were left needing too many runs as the overs ran out.  Sophie Harrad again produced a brilliant final over leaving Fakenham to score 12 off the last two balls, a task, unsurprisingly, beyond them.  Melton are currently top of the 3-team mini-league with maximum points with Garboldisham 2nd and Fakenham 3rd but with both teams to play again.

Melton’s team was: Hannah Brook, Laura Edge, Robyn Edge, Sophie Harrad, Aimee Palmer & Beth Harmer.
